Maxillofacial Surgery
Maxillofacial surgery is the field that surgically treats diseases, injuries, and deformities of the face, jaw, mouth, and neck areas.
In this field:

Jaw fractures, facial bone fractures,

Tumors, cysts, congenital deformities (such as cleft lip and palate),

Jaw misalignments (such as an overly protruding or recessed lower jaw) are treated.
Purpose: To restore both the functional (speech, chewing, breathing) and aesthetic health and balance of the face and jaw region.
